Considered the gentlest of acupuncture techniques, using extra fine needles with very shallow to no insertion into the skin. Theory and practice are based on a fundamental understanding of the classical Chinese medicine texts. Diagnosis involves pulse examination and abdominal palpation. Treatment commonly includes Moxibustion Therapy. Styles practiced at Deare Acupunture clinic include; Toyohari, Masakazu Ikeda Sensei, 5 Element Theory and Dr Yoshio Manaka (ion pumping cords).
