Methods of Payment
We accept EFTPOS, Credit Card (including Amex), Cash or Bank Transfer.
Consultation fee's are GST free for acupuncture.
Insurance Rebate
We accept all health funds and have preferred provider status with Medibank.
HICAPS is available for convenient, fast, on the spot claiming following your treatment. The amount claimable is dependent on your level of coverage, we can not see this amount prior to the claim being processed (privacy). Please contact your fund if you wish to know the amount that you will get back. You must have your card with you, or have it loaded on your phone, in order to claim.
Health fund claims through HICAPS must be done on day of treatment. If that is not possible, you will need to pay the full amount owing to Deare Acupuncture Clinic and claim with your fund directly.
Please note, health funds do not cover cosmetic/beauty enhancement acupuncture.
We are registered for WorkCover claims and will need a referral from your GP and approval from Workcover for us to claim on your behalf (please note, your first visit for Workcover does not need a referral to receive treatment).
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Self Managed: With this plan type, you manage your own NDIS funding. Therefore, you have flexibility of your choice of therapy and individual healthcare provider. Payment is made direct to Deare Acupuncture Clinic at the time of treatment and you are personally reimbursed by NDIS, in accordance with their allocated budget allowance. Plan Managed: The payment process differs slightly with this plan type. Your invoice is forwarded to your plan manager who, in turn reimburses Deare Acupuncture Clinic for your treatment.
Aged/ Home Care Package (HCP) Program
An ACAT assessment is required. The person who meets the age criteria should contact My Aged Care to ascertain if their care needs make them eligible for a HCP. If eligible, the person will then be referred for a face to face assessment by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). ACAT will identify the appropriate HCP level to meet the individual's needs. It is through this HCP that the person can choose acupuncture therapy as a necessary part of their funding package.

New clients; if at the time point of the 3rd to the 6th treatment it is clear progress is not at a rate acceptable to you, we will consult with you and if required, refer you. As well if we, as the practitioner, are not happy with the progress, we will consult with you and if required, refer you.
If you have any concerns or questions please ask, we are here to help ensure your health journey is assisted with the best care possible, within our scope of practice. Core to this process, all continuing clients will be asked about their progress at every appointment, for the duration of their time with us.
Please note, Acupuncture is not a miracle treatment that will fix you in 1 to 2 sessions. If that is what you are expecting / looking for then we are not the practitioners for you.
